Steven May is a likely-looking key position player who spent time at both ends of the ground in his nine games last season.
May was an under-18 All-Australian in 2010 and showed glimpses of his best with his good movement and big left foot. He looked more comfortable in the back half, as shown by his 20 touches and 11 marks against the Lions late in the season.
The Northern Territory-raised youngster Steven May joined the GC SUNS as a priority zone selection after starring for the Top End at the Under-18 National Championships in 210.His efforts saw him named at full-forward in the AFL Under-18 All-Australian team although his size and athleticism allow him to play equally effectively at either end of the ground.
Draft history: 2010 local talent access selection (Gold Coast).
