Sean Lemmens had a definitive impact down back for the SUNS this season.
2021 was arguably Lemmens’ most consistent season yet after a pre-season positional change saw him force his way into a spot in the SUNS starting 22.
Playing a role in the back six for the SUNS, Lemmens brought his speed when rebounding off half-back, but was also extremely effective in blanketing some of the competition’s most dangerous forwards.
Lemmens was able to offer support at ground level in defence whilst providing assistance to key defenders Sam Collins and Charlie Ballard.
Playing 21 games, Lemmens finished seventh in the 2021 Club Champion and will look to build on this season in 2022.
Game of the year
Lemmens best game of the season came in the Round 7 win over Collingwood.
He had 20 disposals as well as six marks, to help keep Collingwood to 55 points for the match.
