Damien Hardwick has named a 26-man squad for Friday night’s AAMI Community Series clash against the Sydney Swans at People First Stadium.

SUNS fans will get the first chance to see Daniel Rioli in his new colours a week out from the start of a new season with the former Tiger one of two new recruits named in defence, alongside John Noble.

Lachie Weller and Connor Budarick have been named at half-forward and half-back respectively following strong pre-seasons, while Charlie Ballard has overcome an ankle complaint to be named for his first hit out against AFL opposition in 2025.

On the eve of his third AFL season, Bailey Humphrey has been named on-ball alongside Matt Rowell and captain Noah Anderson.

Fellow off-season inclusions Elliot Himmelberg, Ben Jepson and StreetSmarts SUNS graduate Lachlan Gulbin have been named on an extended eight-player bench.

Gulbin is one of eight former Academy members named in the squad.

Alex Sexton, Nick Holman, Brayden Fiorini and Ned Moyle are listed as the emergencies.

Friday night’s match will be played under AFL home & away season regulations with 4x20 minute quarters, including time on.

Entry is free for juniors aged 0-14 years and SUNS members with tickets for non-members available from $15. Gates open at 6:30pm with spectators encouraged to make the most of free parking in the Blue Car Park.
