In an AFL first, AFL Queensland is pleased to announce that the 2019 AFL Gold Coast Junior Grand Finals will be held at Metricon Stadium on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September.
AFL Queensland State Manager- Junior Football Operations, Cherie Brockwell, said she was thrilled to be able to give local juniors the chance to play on the biggest stage of all.
"Metricon Stadium will provide our Gold Coast Juniors with memories to last them a lifetime," Brockwell said.
"We are really looking forward to giving the Gold Coast footy community a free weekend out, filled with excitement and entertainment at an AFL venue.
"The Gold Coast SUNS have shown tremendous commitment to supporting Junior AFL on the Gold Coast, we thank them for helping make this initiative a reality."
