After a first-up victory, Stuart Dew and the rest of the SUNS’ Match Committee will still have plenty to discuss as they continue their preparation for a game against Carlton this Saturday.

With no fresh injury concerns, a decision will need to be made as to whether or not an unchanged 22 is named.

As reported in the Alpha Sports Injury Update on Tuesday, Aaron Hall is a chance to be fit and available for selection. 

The midfielder’s outside run and carry could be a valuable asset on a fast Etihad Stadium deck.

There were several SUNS who could consider themselves unlucky not to be selected in Round 1 and pushed their case for selection during Gold Coast’s NEAFL practice match.

One such player is Will Brodie, who played well in his two outings during the JLT series.

Should the SUNS’ coaching staff decide another inside midfielder is required, the youngster could be next in line.

NEAFL Coach Nick Malceski was also impressed by the form that ruckman Tom Nicholls, midfielder Jesse Lonergan and defender Max Spencer showed last Saturday against Palm Beach Currumbin.
