Gold Coast Football Club showed real character after being behind all day and storming home in the final quarter to win 13.16 (94) to the Northern Knights 10.6 (66) at Carrara today. After the Dennis Pagan coached Knights kicked away with seven goals to two in the first term, McKenna’s GCFC pegged them back over the next three quarters. Matt Fowler kicked 3 and Todd Grayson 2 with singles to Liddy, Magin, Daye, Thomas, Jameison, Harley, McIvor and Thompson. Best for the Gold Coast were Grayson, Thompson, Jameison, Daye, Crawford and Haberfield.
