The plaudits continue for emerging superstar Tom Lynch, with Sydney premiership captain Barry Hall declaring he would select the SUNS vice-captain first if he was building an AFL side from scratch.
Hall knows a thing or two about key forwards, having been a club’s leading goalkicker on 11 occassions across his career (two at St Kilda, seven at Sydney, two at the Western Bulldogs).
Lynch has taken his game to another level in 2016, booting 61 goals to sit equal-second in the race for the Coleman Medal. Less than two weeks ago, Jonathan Brown declared the Sorrento product the best player in the game.

“Footballers like Tom Lynch and Darcy Moore are the prototype forwards of the future,” Hall wrote on foxsports.com.au.
“They run, they run and they run. They get their 15 to 20 disposals each week, they take their big marks and they kick plenty of goals.
“It’s no surprise to see Lynch has already notched 61 goals this season, just six behind Coleman Medal leader Josh Kennedy.
“If I was to build a side from scratch, Lynch would almost be the first player I’d select, based on what he’s already produced and his potential to get better.
“He’s certainly the first key forward I’d pick to mould a side around.”
