Returning to South-East Queensland for their first game of football for the year, the SUNS coaching staff will be pondering what changes to make to the side which lost to West Coast last weekend.
The senior team returned from a 10-day trip to Perth this week while the NEAFL side also flew back from their game in Mackay.
The club will be waiting to see how small forward Ben Ainsworth recovers after entering the concussion protocol against West Coast, but if he isn’t passed fit to play it could open the door for Wil Powell or Jacob Dawson to make their debuts after showing impressive form in the NEAFL.
Michael Barlow is another in strong contention after collecting eight NEAFL MVP votes for his 46-disposal effort against the GIANTS which also included eight marks and 10 clearances.
Matt Rosa remains on the cusp of selection after being named as an emergency for the two games in Perth, but could be jostling for a place with Will Brodie and Jesse Lonergan not far off the pace.
