Jack Lukosius took his game to new heights in 2021 being used in a number of different roles this season.
21-year-old Lukosius had his best season to date all while being the SUNS Mr-Fix-it.
Playing all 22 games, Lukosius spent time on both the half-back and forward flanks as well as on the wing.
Lukosius’ best asset, his kicking, was on full display in 2021, consistently allowing to SUNS to transition effectively from one end to the other.
Capping off a fantastic season, Lukosius was named in the AFLPA’s 22Under22 team, alongside fellow SUNS Ben King and Wil Powell.
Lukosius finished tenth in the 2021 Club Champion and will be an integral part of the SUNS going into the 2022 season.
Game of the year
Round 11 against Hawthorn was Lukosius’ best match for the year in a resounding win.
He had 27 disposals, 14 marks and a goal in a game where he starred off half-back.

Using one his best skills to good use, Lukosius’ kicking was one of his best stats for the year.
Ranked 10th in the competition, Lukosius had 17.4 kicks per game using one of his weapons to great effect.
Amongst players who played five games or more, Lukosius also ranked number one in the competition for his kick-to-handball ratio which came in at 6.4 kicks per every one handball.
Finally, Lukosius ended the year ranked second in the AFL in total metres gained, with an average of 626 per game, highlighting his dangerous penetration.
