The Gold Coast SUNS have hosted their first Queensland post-match member’s function on Saturday night at Patron Partner and official away venue Southport Sharks.
The function followed the round 15 match, which saw the SUNS defeat St Kilda by 40-points in a triumphant display.
Excitement levels in the room were tangible, in addition to the SUNS returning to the winner’s list, Saturday also marked the return of midfielder Jaeger O’Meara, who oozed class in the NEAFL match against Southport earlier in the day.
Two-hundred and fifty SUNS members attended the evening alongside the playing list, enjoying the opportinity to celebrate the win and discuss the match.
Senior Coach Rodney Eade, skipper Gary Ablett and former Southport Sharks junior Rory Thompson were all part of a Q&A panel discussion which gave member's excluive insights into into the football department.
