The Gold Coast SUNS reserves have dug deep in the last quarter of their Round 4 clash to defeat the GIANTS by 24 points at Tony Ireland Stadium in Townsville on Saturday night.

The SUNS booted 3.5 to 0.1 in the final term to record their second straight win 11.15 (81) to 8.9 (57).

Livewire Jarrod Garlett booted three goals for Gold Coast while Cam Loersch and Brandon Matera kicked two each.

Matera was among the SUNS' best with 28 disposals, eight marks and nine inside 50s while Danny Stanley was also solid in the midfield.

Rookie Darcy Macpherson finished with 33 disposals and 12 clearances.
