The Gold Coast SUNS have given a snapshot of the AFL Squad injury list ahead of the club's AAMI Community Series match against Geelong on Monday.
Jack Bowes underwent surgery on his shoulder earlier this pre-season after injuring it during a tackle.
"Jack is recovering very well from his shoulder surgery and will miss the start of the season but we expect if all goes well he should be available mid-season,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury update.
New recruit Charlie Constable is recovering from an Adductor strain sustained during a VFL practice match and is expected to be sidelined for at least the next four weeks.
First-year SUNS Academy recruit Bodhi Uwland will be unavailable indefinitely as he continues to recover from a stress fracture in his back.
"This is a pre-existing injury for Bodhi which he has been dealing with since the back end of his draft year," Bull said.
"With it being his first year in the AFL system, we will take a conservative approach with a modified program for Bodhi to give him the best chance to recover fully.”
Sam Day is close to returning to full flight after an operation on his wrist has seen him on limited duties during the pre-season.
Key forward Ben King has undergone surgery on his injured ACL and has begun his rehabilitation but will miss the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
