This week on the Qscan Injury update we’ll take a look at all the latest news and information out of the Round 5 Toyota AFL Premiership Season and the Round 3 VFL Premiership Season Game.
Jack Lukosius has escaped serious injury to his knee but is expected to miss the Round 5 clash against St Kilda at Marvel Stadium after being tackled late in the 30-point victory over Carlton.
“Jack endured an injury to his PCL but the stability of his knee hasn’t been significantly compromised,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury Update.
“He won’t be available for selection this week, but we’ll reassess how is recovery tracks early next week before determining if he will be available for Round 6."
Jy Farrar was subbed out of fixture against Carlton on Sunday afternoon with a hamstring injury but will train later in the week.
“Jy reported pain during the second quarter of the game, and we took every precaution with him, we’ll build him up in the second half of the week in an effort towards him being available for selection.”
Charlie Constable sat out the second half of the VFL Round 3 loss to Carlton after suffering a concussion, he will observe the strict concussion protocols before being available to play.
Joel Jeffrey was the only other injury to come out of the VFL game when his ankle gave way in a marking contest.
“Joel suffered ligament damage to his ankle and will be out for the next 3-4 weeks.”
