The Gold Coast SUNS have named 21 AFL-listed players to line up in the VFL this week for the match against Footscray at VU Whitten Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Jeremy Sharp will make his return from a hip injury and is listed to start on the interchange.

All four AFL emergencies; Charlie Constable, Alex Davies, Oleg Markov and Alex Sexton have been named in the team, but at least one will be held out of the VFL side on game day.

Patrick Murtagh will miss the match through suspension, with two SUNS Academy top-ups included in the team in Jared Eckersley and Marlin Corbett.

The emergency list consists of Jonah Semmler, Jye Lockett and Riley Stone.

First bounce for the VFL Round 9 match is at 12:05pm, with the AFL match in Ballarat getting underway at 1:45pm.
