The return of Jack Lukosius will be a huge boost for the Gold Coast SUNS in the VFL on Sunday when they take on Coburg Lions in Melbourne.

Only four players named in the squad come from outside of the Gold Coast AFL program, with the team looking to rebound from the loss against ladder leaders Casey Demons last week.

After illness ruled him out of the Round 14 clash, Sandy Brock returns to the SUNS side , meanwhile Alex Sexton will be sidelined this week, also due to illness.

A win against Coburg could potentially allow SUNS to sneak into the top eight as they continue their plight for finals contention.

The SUNS VFL side sit 12th on the ladder with one game in hand, having won six games – including three of the last five.

SUNS will face the Lions at Piranha Park in Melbourne on Sunday from 2:15pm. A live stream will be available via afl.com.au/vfl/fixture.
