Ali Drennan and Courtney Jones have both been named in the womens.afl Team of the Week for Round 2.

Drennan was a star in the midfield in the Gold Coast SUNS’ win over West Coast at Metricon Stadium, recording 24 disposals, nine tackles and seven clearances in the win.

Her performance also saw her awarded the perfect 10 in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player votes after the game.

Jones booted a game-high two goals in her club debut, while also adding 12 disposals and six tackles.

She was also recognised with two votes from the coaches.

The AFLW Team of the Week is selected to mirror the All-Australian side: five defenders, six midfielders (including a ruck), five forwards and five interchange players.
