The Gold Coast SUNS drew first blood on the seventh of May when they upset the once powerful Brisbane Lions at the Gabba, the GC SUNS claiming the inaugural QCLASH trophy with a thrilling eight point victory.
Adding insult to injury, it was a former Lion in Jarred Brennan who was judged best on field, awarded the prestigious Marcus Ashcroft medal.
Gold Coast SUNS fans, supporters and Members are once again preparing to make the 96klm trek up the M1, for QCLASH 2 on Saturday the 13th August.
From the grandstands Captain Gary Ablett will be relying on your support to lift the team and give them extra voice as they take on the a Brisbane Lions outfit desperate to make amends.
Stand together in red and cheer on the Gold Coast SUNS as we clash with state rivals the Brisbane Lions for the second time in 2011.
There’s no doubt that our vocal members helped the boys get over the line, and we’re hoping that club members can get to the Gabba as Queenslands AFL representatives once again Clash for State dominance.
It’s QClash, First bounce at 7:10pm on Saturday, August 13.
As this game is a Brisbane Lions home match, Gold Coast SUNS members do not have entry entitlements for the event, but they do have access to sit with fellow members and purchase tickets into selected areas available only to Gold Coast SUNS Members and their guests.
