Bullish midfielder Ellie Hampson has been named to face Carlton in Friday night’s must-win AFLW clash at Metricon Stadium.

Hampson was a late out ahead of last weekend’s defeat against Melbourne with a hamstring complaint, but has passed a fitness test to take on the Blues under Friday night lights.

She returns in place of Tori Groves-Little who is one of three emergencies alongside Ashlee Atkins and Krystal Scott.

The SUNS will be eyeing its first ever win over the Blues in its final home game of Season Seven.

Joint leading goalkickers Tara Bohanna and Jac Dupuy will be key in attack for the SUNS, as will Courtney Jones up against her former side for the first time.

Claudia Whitfort led the way with 19 disposals last time the two sides met back in the penultimate round of last season.
