The Gold Coast SUNS can provide a Qscan Injury Update on captain Touk Miller following Sunday’s win over North Melbourne at Heritage Bank Stadium.
Miller left the field in the third quarter of the match with scans on Monday revealing he has suffered a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee.
“We expect him to miss a fair portion of footy,” GC SUNS General Manager of Football Performance Wayne Campbell said.
“We can’t really put a timeframe on that until after he’s seen the surgeon, but he will be unavailable in the short-to-medium term and we’ll provide further updates, once confirmed.”
Wil Powell was the only other concern out of the Round 6 win against North Melbourne. Powell left the ground after a heavy collision with Cam Zurhaar, was assessed and deemed fit to return.
