There’s positive news for a pair of Bens in this week’s Qscan Injury Update ahead of Saturday’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round QClash against the Brisbane Lions.
Ben Ainsworth will be available for selection after missing the last two matches, as will Ben Long after back soreness ruled him out of the win against West Coast.
“Ben Ainsworth missed the last two matches with a corked quad which progressed well following the two weeks rest, he will be available for selection this Saturday against Brisbane,” SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull said.
“Ben Long pulled up sore following a strong tackle late in the Round 8 loss to Melbourne and subsequently missed the match against the Eagles, however he will also be available for selection this weekend.”
Nick Holman will need to pass a fitness test this week after a toe injury also saw him miss the last two games.
Connor Blakely missed Saturday’s VFL match against Southport with a calf complaint and will also be unavailable for selection this weekend.
