The GC SUNS have taken a clean sweep of the coaches votes from Sunday’s comprehensive win over Hawthorn at Heritage Bank Stadium.
Trio Noah Anderson, Ben Ainsworth and Brayden Fiorini were named as the three best players on field from both Senior Coaches, all finishing with eight votes apiece.
Wil Powell continued his strong season in defence, earning three votes while the ever-consistent Jarrod Witts earned two votes from another dominant ruck display.
In for his first AFL match in a number of months, Sam Flanders put his best foot forward in search of consistent senior football, rounding out the voting with one vote.
Those votes sees Anderson climb up the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year standings, now up to equal eighth alongside Zach Merrett, Toby Greene and Jack Sinclair.
Anderson’s midfield compatriot Matt Rowell is the other SUN inside the Top 20, sitting in 15th on 45 votes.
