Speedy Gold Coast SUNS forward Malcolm Rosas has signed a two-year contract extension until the end of 2025.
Rosas was the first player signed through the club’s Darwin talent zone and has gone on to play 33 games in his three seasons at the club so far.
The 22-year-old said he was thrilled to continue his career with the SUNS.
“I love the club and have made strong friendships and connections with the playing group and coaches,” Rosas said.
“Having the opportunity to play games in Darwin is really special to me too. I love playing in front of friends and family.
“I’m really excited to stay at the SUNS and help the team achieve success.”
GC SUNS General Manager of Player Talent & Strategy Craig Cameron said the club was pleased to secure Rosas for an additional two years.
“Malcolm has started to make his mark at AFL level and we’re excited to see that continue into the future at the SUNS,” Cameron said.
“He has worked hard for his opportunity in the AFL and is a role model for young players in the Northern Territory to follow in his footsteps.”
Rosas is one of five Territorians on the Gold Coast SUNS list alongside Joel Jeffrey, Lloyd Johnston, Ben Long and Jed Anderson.
