The GC SUNS will be eyeing a return to the top of the VFL ladder in Saturday morning’s clash against the Sydney Swans at the SCG.
The SUNS have named a side containing 19 AFL-listed players for its penultimate match of the home and away season with a chance to return to the summit with a win.
A number of SUNS Academy products have been named, including top ruck prospect Ethan Read who will make his VFL debut at the SCG.
The SUNS have already secured a top-four berth with two games to play and a win against the Swans would all but secure a top-two finish and the right to host two finals on the Gold Coast.
The two sides have previously met on four occasions in the VFL with the SUNS victorious in each meeting, most recently in a Semi-Final last season.
