Currently preparing for his fourth season at the helm, Joyce has led the SUNS to three consecutive all-time best seasons, highlighted by a historic first home final at People First Stadium in 2023.
During his three-season tenure, the SUNS have risen from a winless season in 2021, to a record fifth-placed finish in 2023, reaching numerous milestones throughout the journey.
Joyce and a newly-formed AFLW coaching panel will once again be proudly supported by GANDEN Engineers and Project Managers who too have extended its commitment to the club as AFLW Coaches Partner for 2024.
GANDEN, who joined forces with the club at the end of 2021, will once again feature on the back of the club’s AFLW guernsey, as well as SUNS coaching apparel, interchange bench and coaches box.
GANDEN will have the backs of the entire SUNS playing group, as well as newly-assembled coaching panel in 2024.
Joyce will once again be deputised by three Assistant Coaches, including returning Senior Assistant & midfield coach Sam Iles alongside fresh faces in Jess Sedunary (forwards) and SUNS Life Member Rory Thompson (backs).
Sedunary, a former Adelaide, St Kilda and West Coast Eagles player, joined the club earlier in 2023, imparting her wealth of knowledge onto the next generation as SUNS Academy U18 Girls Coach. Thompson also moves into his first official coaching position at the club with which he played 106 AFL games an a foundation player.
