StreetSmarts SUNS Academy players Leo Lombard and Zeke Uwland have been recognised for their outstanding National Championships performances with selection in the 2024 Under 18 Boys All Australian Team.

The pair are two of four players representing the Allies named in the final team announced today.

Lombard was picked in the midfield after a stellar National Championships performance which included 105 disposals and four goals across four games.

It comes after the SUNS Academy star, who also played in the club’s VFL premiership as a 16-year-old last year, was also named the Allies MVP for the tournament and also shared the Larke Medal honours as the Championships’ best player.

Uwland, younger brother of SUNS AFL defender Bodhi, was named in the back pocket of the All Australian team after his first Under 18 carnival as a bottom-ager.

Uwland isn’t draft eligible until next year but has impressed in his exposure against the best young talent in the country.

It has culminated in the 17-year-old being the youngest player picked in the U18 All Australian team and the only 2025 draft prospect selected in the side.

The team is selected by a panel of club recruiters as well as AFL talent department staff.
