An impressive debut season from Sam Clohesy has the 21-year-old in contention among the extended 40-player squad, alongside defensive duo Mac Andrew and Bodhi Uwland.

The 22Under22, presented by Snaffle, is a fan-voted concept that recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season (including Grand Final day). The concept was first introduced in 2013 in the men’s competition to reward the young players who make an impact on their club and the competition so early in their careers.

Clohesy hasn’t missed a beat in 2024, creating headaches for opposition sides as a superb two-way runner in all 17 matches since his debut in Gather Round.

Andrew has firmed his position as one of the most eye-catching and versatile defenders in 2024. He is averaging 15.2 disposals and 2.8 intercept marks per game whilst recently adding the ability to hit the scoreboard to his repertoire.

Highlighted by a Rising Star nomination in Round 12, Uwland has been a cornerstone of the SUNS back 50 setup in 2024, ranking among the AFL’s top echelon for one percenters.

Voting is open from 2pm, August 8th and will close at 11:59pm, August 14th (midnight). The final team will be announced on August 21^st.
