Some of the biggest names from across the sports industry have today helped the Gold Coast SUNS launch My Story, Our Story, a social campaign celebrating the many unique journeys taken by women in sport.
Launched on the eve of the club’s 2024 AFL Women’s season opener, the campaign aims to unite women across Australia’s sporting landscape to share their authentic stories and lead a social discussion to inspire the future generation of athletes and administrators.
Gold Coast SUNS AFLW players and staff have joined the likes of Olympic Champion Sally Pearson, AFL Executive General Manager of Football Laura Kane, Olympic medallist Natalya Diehm and Rugby 7s star Maddison Levi in sharing their powerful stories about their experiences in sport.
Throughout the upcoming AFLW season, the Gold Coast SUNS will share the stories of the athletes on the fields, and the women who have changed the game off it, in their own words.
As part of the campaign, the public are encouraged tell their stories, not for the women they are today, but for the girls they once were.
