Rory Atkins and Ned Moyle are in contention for a berth in the 2024 VFL Team of the Year following the announcement of the extended squad on Friday.
The 40-player squad, which includes players who have played a minimum of nine home and away matches in the VFL in 2024, will be sliced to the final 24-player team at the VFL and VFLW Awards on Monday, September 16.
It’s a maiden squad selection for Atkins and a third consecutive for Moyle who will be eyeing a return to the final team after being named as Ruck of the Year in 2022.
