Hewago Oea has claimed the VFL Player of the Year award at the 2024 Gold Coast SUNS Club Champion.
Oea, affectionately known as Ace, played 18 VFL matches team, recording an average of 18.3 disposals, 4.6 marks and 1.7 clearances per game.
One of Oea’s best performances this season came against the Casey Demons, where he scored two goals to go with 27 disposals and eight marks.
The VFL Player of the Year is voted on by the coaches using the same formula as the SUNS Club Champion. Players are rated on their performance each match with a score of 0 - 5.
