The Gold Coast SUNS are pleased to announce experienced duo Nick Holman and Sean Lemmens have extended their contracts with the club.

The pair have both signed one-year extensions until the end of the 2025 season.

Gold Coast SUNS General Manager of Player Talent and Strategy Craig Cameron said both players would continue to be important for the club.

“Nick and Sean have been valued players for our club over a long period and both have extensive experience at AFL level,” Cameron said.

“With both also serving in our leadership group at various stages throughout their careers, we believe they will continue to be strong role models for our younger players and contribute on the field as we continue our rise in 2025.”

Holman joined the SUNS ahead of the 2018 season, being recruited from the SANFL after previously being listed by Carlton for two years, where he played nine AFL matches.

Since then, Holman has become a regular at AFL level for the SUNS and played 122 games in seven seasons in the red and gold.

Lemmens was drafted by the SUNS with pick 27 in the 2013 AFL Draft and has played 11 seasons with the club.

After playing the final three games of the AFL season, Lemmens is currently on 148 AFL games and two games shy of qualifying for Gold Coast SUNS Life Membership.

Both Holman and Lemmens served in the Gold Coast SUNS’ Leadership Group from 2022-2023.
