The Gold Coast SUNS has made a further change to its list, with small forward Hewago Oea delisted by the club.

Oea will be invited back to train with the SUNS over the pre-season to look to win a list position back during the supplemental selection period.

The 22-year-old joined the SUNS list as a Category B rookie in 2020, and played 13 games in his four seasons with the club.

Oea first joined the SUNS Academy as a 16-year-old after relocating from his native Papua New Guinea to pursue his football career.

Gold Coast SUNS General Manager of Player Talent & Strategy Craig Cameron thanked Oea for his contributions to the club over four years of service.

"Hewago has been a much-loved player at the SUNS and we’d like to thank him for his time with us,” Cameron said.

“He is an inspiration for many young PNG athletes, and will continue to be as he takes the next step in his football journey.”

The Gold Coast SUNS return for pre-season training on November 25.
