Charlie Rowbottom and Daisy D’Arcy have reaffirmed their titles as two of the AFLW’s best young talents with selection in the AFLPA 22Under22 Team.
It’s a second straight selection for both players and a fourth in as many seasons for Rowbottom who was elected as the side’s vice-captain.
The 21-year-old joins elite company with her selection in the midfield making her one of just five players to have been voted in to four or more AFLW 22Under22 sides.
Rowbottom was the most selected player featuring in 78% of the fan-selected teams, only narrowly ahead of teammate D’Arcy who was selected in 71% of teams - the fourth highest.
D’Arcy has been named at half-back in the side following a career-best season in which she also earned opportunities in the SUNS’ midfield.
The duo both finished on the podium at last weekend’s SUNS Club Champion with Rowbottom taking out her second top honour. She’s also in contention for selection in the 2024 AFLW All-Australian team, to be named at Monday’s W Awards.
