Northern Territory rising star Annabel Kievit will call the Gold Coast home for a further two AFLW seasons.

The young Territorian has rounded out her debut AFLW season by penning a contract extension which ties her to the SUNS through until the end of 2026.

It was a whirlwind maiden season for the 19-year-old who debuted in Round 1 and made the wing role her own.

She played all 11 matches throughout her first season, putting her incredible athleticism and versatile skillset on full display.

“It was a dream come true to make my AFLW debut this year and I’m thrilled to have extended my time here on the Gold Coast,” Kievit said.

“We didn’t get the results we wanted this season, but it was a great learning experience for me and I’m excited to continue developing alongside a great group of players.”

GC SUNS Head of Women’s Football Fiona Sessarago said, “It’s fantastic to have another one of our young up-and-coming talents locked in for the next two seasons

“Annabel has adapted seamlessly to the higher intensity of the AFLW in her first season and as she continues to develop, it will be exciting to see the player she becomes.”

Kievit is the latest of the club’s 2024 draftees to have committed to the SUNS following recent contract extensions for Keely Fullerton, Taya Oliver and Streetsmarts SUNS Academy graduate Kiara Bischa.
