The Gold Coast SUNS has today finalised its 2024 financial result, with the club posting an underlying profit of $496,084 for the financial year ending in October 2024.

The result is driven by significant growth in the club’s core revenue streams, membership, ticketing and corporate hospitality areas.

The growth was reflected in higher attendances at People First Stadium during the 2024 season, including four sellouts against Richmond, Essendon, Collingwood and Brisbane,

a 12% increase in club membership (26,157 members), average attendance at People First Stadium growing 16% (16,919), whilst retail sales grew 8% year on year.

Gold Coast SUNS Chairman Bob East said the financial results reflected the club’s growth in key areas.

“We continue to build a strong foundation for our club. We have seen record crowds and memberships, four sellouts and continued amazing growth of the game in Queensland, a testament everything the SUNS is doing in our community and building towards our mission of winning AFL and AFLW Premierships,” East said.

“I’d like to thank everyone connected to the club who have helped to drive this result, in particular the incredible support from our record membership base and exceptional corporate partners.

The Club’s overall statutory result shows a profit of $5.918m which includes a one-off non-cash gain of $7.579m due to a change in the contractual arrangements for People First Stadium with the Club moving from a Venue Management Agreement to a Services Agreement with the AFL.
