The AFL has today confirmed the fixture for Rounds 1-13 of the 2025 VFL season.
The SUNS will begin its quest to return to the VFL finals in Round 2, following a bye in Round 1.
Gold Coast’s first clash of the season is against the Casey Demons at Casey Fields on Saturday, March 29 before the first home match of the campaign seven days later at People First Stadium against the Northern Bullants (3:40pm first bounce).
That match will take place following the club’s AFL fixture against Adelaide at the same venue and is one of three confirmed AFL/VFL double headers at People First Stadium in the first 13 rounds.
The SUNS VFL side will host AFL curtain raisers against the Sydney Swans in Round 5 and Coburg in Round 10 as well as a standalone VFL fixture at People First Stadium against Box Hill in Round 8.
Gold Coast will take on both local rivals Southport (Round 4) and the Brisbane Lions (Round 6) on the road in the first half of the season before hosting the Lions in Round 18.
Match ups for Rounds 14-21 of the VFL have been announced with venues and times for those rounds will be confirmed after the corresponding rounds of the AFL fixture are announced later in the year.
