The Gold Coast SUNS have signed Brisbane-based midfielder Jacqui Yorston to the club.
Yorston, 18, joins the SUNS after being drafted to the Brisbane Lions in 2018 where she played four matches.
The inside midfielder earnt an AFLW Rising Star nomination in her debut season with a 12-disposal and eight-tackle outing in Round 6.
She then backed it up the next week with 21 disposals and nine tackles.

“I’m pretty ecstatic about it,” Yorston said on joining the SUNS.
“I didn’t see myself necessarily wearing a Gold Coast guernsey having come through the Lions Academy but it’s a great opportunity and I’m glad I’m here.”
Yorston said her strong bond with Gold Coast’s AFLW Senior Coach David Lake was the driving force behind her decision to switch allegiances.
“When you don’t get a game it’s hard to keep going,” she said.
“Every week Lakey was saying: don’t stop, you’re gonna get a game, you’re good enough, just don’t stop.”
“I want a coach that believes in me and wants me to do good and will tell me if I’m not performing and tell me if I am.”
