Another consistent season for Touk Miller saw the 23-year-old secure a 6th-placed finish in Gold Coast’s Club Champion for 2019. 

Promoted to the vice-captaincy prior to the start of the season, Miller took the added responsibility in his stride.

He played the opening eight matches of the season before a heel injury kept him sidelined for three weeks.

Miller returned in Round 12 but sustained a significant cork to his quad early in the match which saw him miss the next game.

From there he returned to play out the remainder of the season and average 26 disposals and six tackles in his last six games.

Loved and respected by coaches and teammates, Miller shared the 2019 Players’ Player award with co-captain David Swallow.

Best game:

Miller was a standout in the Round 4 victory over Carlton. The midfielder amassed 31 disposals, six marks and a whopping 13 tackles in the win to be one of the best afield. Funnily enough, his next best game was also against the Blues when the two sides met later in the year (27 disposals, nine marks, 11 tackles).

Moment of the season:

Playing his 100th game in Round 23 against the Giants was a rewarding way to finish the season for Miller who became the fastest SUN to reach the milestone. He had 19 disposals, four marks and seven tackles in the match.
