Following Sunday’s narrow loss to St Kilda, two Gold Coast players had their performances acknowledged by the coaches.
Brayden Fiorini picked up seven votes in a game where he tallied 30 disposals, 13 of which were contested, six clearances and five inside 50s.
The midfielder was one of the SUNS’ best players in the tense final quarter but couldn’t quite drag the team over the line for victory.
Fiorini was edged out for best-on-ground honours by Saints tall forward Josh Bruce, who received eight votes from the coaches.
The other SUN to poll was Alex Sexton (four votes), who worked hard all day and finished the game with 18 disposals and four goals.
Rounding out the votes from Stuart Dew and Alan Richardson were Saints Seb Ross (five), Jack Steven (four), Jack Steele (two) and Jack Newnes (one).
