SUNS Media have taken a look at Gold Coast’s top AFL Fantasy performances from Sunday’s five-point victory over the Western Bulldogs.
Jack Martin (MID/FWD - $634,000)
For the second week running, Martin finds himself among the best Fantasy performers for the SUNS after scoring 110 points.
Still hovering at 1% ownership in the Classic format, Fantasy Coaches may need be one to watch out for if he continues to play increased midfield minutes.
The mid/forward again boasted a solid kick-handball ratio (18 kicks, five handballs), while the six tackles he laid contributed greatly to his overall score.
Martin could have scored even bigger had his kicking for goal been more accurate, finishing with four behinds to go with a solitary goal.
Brayden Fiorini (MID - $686,000)
Fiorini continues to impress Fantasy Coaches who selected him, scoring 110 points to boost his average back up to 102.3.
The midfielder was Gold Coast’s leading disposal winner against the Dogs with 17 kicks and 10 handballs.
To round out his score, Fiorini also took five marks and laid six tackles.
His impressive start to the year has seen his price increase by $21,000 so far.
Jack Bowes (MID - $538,000)
Bowes was impressive on the weekend, spending time matched up alongside Bulldogs midfielder Marcus Bontempelli.
He scored 98 Fantasy points – increasing his average to 94.3 points – and continues to turn heads in his midfield role.
The 21-year-old is averaging nearly 15 points per game better than last season, with a price rise of $75,000 after just three games.
If Bowes can continue to churn out solid scores like this, he’s set to make Fantasy Coaches a bit more cash as the season progresses.
