The Gold Coast SUNS and Metricon Stadium today confirmed they have partnered with TattsBet.

TattsBet is Australia’s premier totalisator and fixed price betting provider, with 1,200 retail outlets in Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory and nationally via online and phone. In 2013 Tatts Group relocated its head office from Victoria to Queensland.

GC SUNS Chief Operating Officer Andrew Travis welcomed the announcement.

“This is a significant partnership that both the Gold Coast SUNS and Metricon Stadium have entered into and we are pleased that through our unique position as a football club and stadium operator to have the support of TattsBet, a national company with its head office based here in Queensland.”

The partnership will mean customers at Metricon Stadium events will have access to TattsBet’s purpose-built mobile betting site, enabling visitors to transact directly with TattsBet within the stadium precinct. The partnership will also include TattsBet signage at Metricon Stadium.

“Metricon Stadium has proven itself as a highly-integrated, modern stadium with a focus on delivering the best fan experience possible. The TattsBet partnership will allow us to deliver yet another service to our fans on game day,” Mr Travis added.

TattsBet’s Brad Tamer said: “This is an important strategic partnership for us as we demonstrate our commitment to our new home here in Queensland.

“We’re proud to be putting our support behind the Gold Coast SUNS as they aspire to take on fierce competition as we do the same.

“This partnership complements our sports betting strategy by facilitating the connection with AFL fans across the nation.

“At a local level, the partnership will build our profile in the south-east Queensland market, provide mutual benefits for our customers and SUNS members, as well as helping enhance the game day experience through the addition of our mobile bet van at Metricon Stadium.

“Punters are keen on the SUNS’ chances of finishing in the top eight for the first time in 2014. At $4 they are currently one of the more popular teams in TattsBet’s Final 8 market. The Gold Coast SUNS are also at the fore in the latest Brownlow Medal market with Gary Ablett the $7 favourite to win the league’s highest individual accolade in consecutive years.
