The Gold Coast SUNS have announced the appointment of Josh Drummond as an assistant coach.

General Manager – Football Operations, Jon Haines welcomed Drummond to the SUNS. 

“We are delighted to have someone of the calibre of Josh join our team, he will be a great addition and comes from a well-respected football club,” Haines said. 

"We look forward to him joining our coaching group in the coming weeks."

Following a 94-game career at the Brisbane Lions, Drummond joined former teammate Brad Scott at North Melbourne where he has coached for the last six seasons. 

Drummond has held several roles at the Kangaroos, joining the club as a development coach before being promoted to an assistant coach where he has looked after both the defensive and midfield groups in recent years.
