Gold Coast will be forced into at least one change ahead of Saturday’s game against Fremantle.

Jack Bowes, who accepted a one-match suspension, comes out of the team and a number of players will come under consideration to replace him.

Veteran Matt Rosa is primarily a wingman but has shown in the past an ability to play across the midfield and half-back – positions that Bowes has played in over the opening two rounds.

Midfielders Jesse Lonergan and Michael Barlow have been impressive in recent NEAFL practice matches and could come under consideration.

Will Brodie is another name that will be mentioned during Gold Coast’s match committee meeting after performing well in an unfamiliar run-with role last week.

He has spent time in the SUNS’ reserves side honing his craft both as a midfielder and forward and will be keen to impress should he be named.

Ruckman Tom Nicholls continues to play well, however the strong form of Jarrod Witts means that Gold Coast are unlikely to make changes to their ruck set up.
