With a real sense of unity and camaraderie, the entire Gold Coast SUNS organisation were on their Huawei phones on Thursday night to make the inaugural SUNS Shout Out an overwhelming success.
Inspired by a pre-game address by coach Rodney Eade, admin staff and players made hundreds of calls to existing members to thank them for their support and unrenewed members to get them on board for an exciting 2017.
The positive energy from both those in SUNS headquarters and on the other end of the phone was palpable just 22 days out from round one, built on the back of a strong pre-season that has delivered several wins for the SUNS both on and off the field.
“It’s been a massive night for the club and a huge thank you has to go out to everyone who played their part tonight,” GM – Consumer & Community, Kimberly Knight told goldcoastfc.com.au.
“Before we started, Rocket asked everyone to play their role and that they did, with plenty of new sign-ups and mountains of fans and members registering for callbacks over the next few days.
“It’s an exciting time for the Gold Coast Football Club and we encourage everyone to get on board, to join us as we strive to gain the respect of the entire competition in 2017.”
