On Monday the Gold Coast SUNS completed the first leg of their AFL Community Camp in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Lismore.
There were 41 community appearances in total over the course of the day, including schools, hospitals, local football clubs and talent academies.
Following the JLT1 victory over the Bulldogs in Mackay, the playing squad attended 11 schools and the Mackay Base Hospital to inspire the children of the community and grow their love for the game.
Following the visits, the squad then assembled at Harrup Park for a SUNS Academy training session and ‘Super Clinic’.
In Townsville there were nine school visits, a SUNS Academy training session and Auskick clinic attended by more SUNS players.
