It comes as no surprise vice-captain Tom Lynch has scored himself nine AFLCA votes after his pivotal role in leading the SUNS to their first victory over Fremantle.

With five goals, seven marks and 15 disposals, Lynch’s impact on the game is seen as a key pillar in the club’s blueprint for future success.

Fellow forward Jack Martin not only walked away from the game having his praises sung by media and fans alike, but with eight AFLCA votes of his own.

Four goals and two goal assists, combined with 16 disposals and a game-high 11 marks makes Martin a force to be reckoned with.

Jarrod Harbrow (4), Alex Sexton (3) and Aaron Hall (1) also registered votes for their performance, with Nat Fyfe the only Fremantle player to feature, awarded 5 votes.

Following each game of the 2016 season, coaches from both teams vote on who they believed to be most instrumental to the game. Each coach votes for five players, allocating a score form 1-5. The maximum a player can register for a single game is 10 votes.
