The Gold Coast SUNS are excited to announce a new partnership with XBlades.
The partnership will see XBlades join the SUNS as the Official Apparel Partner in a multi-year deal, supplying the team’s playing and performance apparel, as well as the club’s retail apparel range.
Gold Coast SUNS CEO, Andrew Travis was excited to welcome XBlades to the club.
“We are thrilled to be entering into a partnership with XBlades,” he said.
“We look forward to working closely with their team and our players to produce on-field kit that assists performance, but also produces gear for our fans to wear when supporting the club” Mr. Travis said.
Founded in the 1980’s, XBlades is undertaking a brand reinvigoration to cement its position as the only purpose designed footwear and apparel for native Australian sports; Rugby and AFL.
XBlades Chief executive Leighton Richards, says collaboration with the SUNS playing group for their apparel in 2018 is already underway with former Geelong Premiership Player Jimmy Bartel heavily involved in the process.
“XBlades product development is designed predominantly by athlete consultation which is headed by Jimmy Bartel. Our apparel product development will see increased integration of science combined with innovative materials to produce premium on and off field kit.”
“We also use our knowledge and heritage to produce revolutionary Australian-inspired products for native Australian sports. Products are designed with performance, injury prevention, comfort and playing longevity at the forefront,” Mr. Richards said.
Gold Coast’s new XBlades range will be available to purchase leading into the start of the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
