The Gold Coast SUNS are pleased to announce the re-signing of Rory Thompson.
GM - Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft, made the announcement in front of a capacity crowd at the 2015 Club Champion Awards at the Sharks Events Centre on Friday evening.
Thompson, 24, has played 65 AFL games, since making his debut as a 20-year-old against the Sydney Swans at Metricon Stadium in Round 16, 2011.
Hailing from Southport, Thompson, who joined the club as a 2010 local talent access selection said he was rapt to continue his career on the Gold Coast.
"As a Gold Coaster I am really pleased to extend my contract with the club. The club, team and the game has grown so much since I’ve been involved with the SUNS and I am looking forward to playing my role as we continue to build a strong club.
"2015 has been a tough year, both for the team and individually, but I am confident I can get on top of my injuries as we look forward to a much improved year in 2016."
