SCOTT Pendlebury celebrated his 200th match with a dominant display on Saturdayy night, steering Collingwood to a 69-point win over the SUNS at Metricon Stadium.
If anyone tried to deny Pendlebury the game ball after his milestone match, it would not have seemed fair.
After all, no one from the SUNS appeared to have any objections to him getting his hands on the ball as he cruised to a typically classy 35- possession, three-goal game.
The Pies skipper laid the foundation for the win with a dominant opening quarter. By the time the siren had gone for the first change he had booted two goals, dished off to Travis Varcoe and Adam Oxley for two more, and also had a direct hand in another couple of Magpie scoring chains.
The SUNS’ huge injury toll makes it hard to assess their current performances.

That's how long the Gold Coast SUNS have to wait for a chance to stop and take a breath in the midst of their disastrous year.
In between now and the bye they face all the grand finalists of the past three years in Hawthorn, Sydney and Fremantle.
SUNS coach Rodney Eade said the players simply had to grit their teeth and hang in as more players hopefully filter back into the side after injuries.
With arguably seven of their top 10 players missing from the line up, the load has been left for rookies to bear.

Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade says the extra workload on his young players might already be taking a toll.
After getting within 10 points late in the second quarter against Collingwood on Saturday night, the Suns faded badly to lose by 69 points.
Giving up goals late in quarters and late in matches is becoming a habit for Gold Coast.
Sporting a horrendous injury toll that includes their three best midfielders – Gary Ablett, David Swallow and Jaeger O'Meara – too much work is falling to too few.
That's not even accounting for being without their two best defenders – Steven May and Rory Thompson – along with All Australian half-back Nick Malceski and exciting half-forward Jack Martin.
