It’s the most fashionable date on the Gold Coast SUNS social calendar. The 2015 Women of the SUNS (WOTS) Ladies Lunch, presented by Pindara Private Hospital and John Flynn Private Hospital, didn’t disappoint with the fabulous event once again a resounding success.
For the fourth consecutive year, the WOTS Ladies Lunch was sold out with over 450 ladies treated to an afternoon full of fine food, laughs, quality entertainment and prizes and plenty of one-on-one conversations with GC SUNS players.
The Ladies Lunch was held at the brand new Sea World Resort Conference Centre, which was elegantly outfitted and dressed to the nines in aqua and white.
Hosted by SUNS TV’s Jess Skarratt and charismatic WOTS Ambassador Tom Nicholls, the event saw attendees enjoy every minute of the afternoon, from Nicholls' playful entrance on stage to Soul Mystique’s mesmerizing dance and quick change performance to getting photographs and autographs from the entire playing list.
SUNS CEO Andrew Travis believes the WOTS Ladies Lunch is a renowned success due to keeping it an exclusive affair, instead of growing the volume of tickets sold.
“It’s just amazing the support we get for this event year after year,” Travis said.
“The challenge we have is that we only have 45 players and the real success of the event is being able to have a player on each table so from our point of view we are going to keep it at the 450 mark (for capacity).
“That way every person who attends is guaranteed to spend time with our players, get to know them and ask them all those interesting questions that they’ve always wanted to ask.”
