Gary Ablett had scans on his left shoulder this morning, injured in Saturday night’s victory over Collingwood at Metricon Stadium.

Upon review of the scans, Ablett and the GC SUNS medical team have agreed to seek further specialist opinion in the coming days to assist in determining the extent of the injury, and most appropriate treatment.

General Manager - Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft, confirmed the degree of the injury is still being determined.

“We are still in the early stages of diagnosing the injury.

“Over the next 24 to 48 hours our medical staff will engage specialists who will work with them to ensure the full extent of the injury is established and the most appropriate form of treatment is provided.”
